Poetry from the photovoice project

Michele is a PhD student in social work at Flinders University. She works with women of lived prison experience using photovoice.

On past programs, Michele joined Radio Seeds to discuss how the project can help women transition to life after prison.

On the June program, she shared a poem from one of the participants in the project.

The rising suicide rate in women released from prison

On Radio Seeds, we bring real and honest information by and for women with lived prison experience and try to educate the wider community on the realities of issues faced by women with a criminalised history.

Frances is a prison chaplain who works in the Adelaide Women’s Prison, she joins Linda to discuss the issue.

Exhibition showcases SA prisoner art

Jeremy is a PhD student from Flinders University, he has been running exhibitions of art from South Australian prisoners since 2012.
