Interview with Shalom Almond, Director of “Prisoners and Pups”

We had the amazing opportunity to speak to Shalom Almond, the director of the local Adelaide film ‘Prisoners and Pups’, a film based on a small group of women prisoners who signed up to foster retired racing greyhounds and get them ready for adoption. In the film, the women have just eight weeks to transform these institutionalised dogs into house-friendly, obedient pets. But the hardest test for the women turns out to be facing up to themselves. We also had the chance to speak to Deb Walker, one of the women who was in the documentary, to her experiences and thoughts on the film.

‘Prisoners and Pups’ premieres this Thursday, October 12th at Hart’s Mill in Port Adelaide at 7:00pm. Get in quick to get tickets and support the film; the proceeds will be donated to Seeds of Affinity.
